I do not know Matthew as a work colleague, or a travelling companion, he was tramped and sailed a few miles believe you me. He is not a drinking buddy, he has downed a few of those also. My relationship with this guy is even better than the afore mentioned. I know him as a friend.

He is a chirpy, cheeky chappy, only pint sized, but bursting with wit, and charm. Always happy!

Now, as he is in the motor trade, this may be somewhat alarming when meeting him to discuss spending money to purchase four wheels, or handing over handfuls of money to pay for work done, but this I do know, he is honest, and explains the how and wherefore to the best of his knowledge. After all, he needs you to come back to him when you need to, a bit like a lover.

He has outrageous marketing ideas, which terrify those of a nervous disposition, mostly he pulls them off, not withstanding visits from officiadom. Lesser mortals world crumble and fold, but not him; he bounces back and tries something else!

Matthew likes people, senior citizens do not understand computer speak, he explains. Lady motorists just know what is inside the car, not under the bonnet (with apologies).

The guys mess about with it first, when that fails they take it to the garage.

Matthew deals with things with good humour, and takes the misery out of being a car owner. His motto for life is to make the most out of it. To live life in the fast lane, enjoy it, and don’t make anyone else a misery either.

The van was collected from my office exactly at the time agreed and within an hour a video was sent to me showing 2 of the engineers performing a test drive and explaining what they were doing and how the day would pan out.

A further 3 videos were sent throughout the day showing the work they were carrying out and the results of the service.

The van was returned to me at the office, it was not only running like a dream, it had been cleaned inside and out.

The one thing I have always believed about garages is that their work is a dark art, and they exploit customer’s ignorance. This is simply not true at The Garage at Nantgarw.

After recent health issues me Dad was unable to drive for a couple of months and his Mot date had come around.

Whilst I could have taken time out of my day to deliver the car to the garage myself and then arrange to be brought home I was saved from this hassle by Matthew Davies’ garage team, who contacted my Dad directly and sent a driver to collect my Dad’s car from his home at a time to suit him.

As helpful as this was it wasn’t simply done as my Dad couldn’t drive, but was in fact a collection service they offered all their clients.

Shortly thereafter we were sent three email videos which I watched with my Dad and showed the work that had been done and the repairs that were recommended in clear detail – something my Dad had certainly never experienced in dealing with any other garage before.

No smoke and mirrors, no paying for work that didn’t need to be done, the videos showed clearly what was needed to be done which provided a great deal of confidence.

The work was completed in good time and the vehicle was returned, cleaned inside and out.

With extremely reasonable pricing too, I would wholeheartedly recommend The Garage at Nantgarw to my family, friends and clients.

As you would expect in over forty five years of driving I`ve used many garages. A couple have been to say the least mediocre. The majority have been satisfactory, but Matthew and team at Nantgarw garage are without doubt in a class of their own, way above any of the others I`ve encountered .

Not only do they collect and return your car at a time and place convenient to you it will have been hand washed, tyres cleaned etc.  You receive a video showing what needs to be replaced or repaired so the client is kept informed of what`s happening.  So to sum up, I would recommend The Garage At Nantgarw to anybody who wants service beyond the usual.
